In 1968, Canadian born Marine Engineer Mr. Anthony Rock established General Engineers & Agents Pty Ltd (GEA), a small jobbing shop. From this humble beginning, Mr. Rock developed GEA into a capable steel fabricator within sugar, mining, state government and railways industries. In 1990, aligning his vision of the future Mr. Rock changed the company name to Townsville Engineering Industries Pty Ltd (TEi) and the TEi brand was born.
Over the years TEi has continued to adopt new technologies and differentiate themselves in North Queensland, building a reputation of continuous innovation, quality and reliability.
In 2001 TEi celebrated success in exporting their first trommel screen into Africa. Since then, they continue to optimise trommel designs as part of their core business. TEi now service mining clients in Asia, Africa, The Americas' and New Zealand as well as locally in Australia.
TEi deliver a range of engineered solutions across industries from architectural structural steel projects, industrial warehouses, complex mechanical and transport assets to government and mining capital infrastructure processing equipment.
